Google Does not Want to Linger Detained Android N

Android N indeed does not have a name and is still simmering together asking the developers version of the application. But Google makes sure, schedule the final release of Android N could not be long.

"The final version of Android will be released to the N device manufacturers starting this summer, so they can immediately get the latest Android version earlier than ever before," the Google statement quoted detikINET, Tuesday (25/5/2016).

Google itself has indeed been announced Android N at the Google i/o 2016 in Mountain View, California, United States. But unfortunately, they still haven't found a suitable name for the new operating system.

"We are still looking for a suitable name for this new version of Android. Does anyone have any idea of the begin with the letter N? Try to convey it in URgoogle.com/n, "said Google Engineering Vice President Dave Burke when opening sessions at the Shoreline Amphitheatre.



For those who feel have a name that is considered most suitable for Android N, Google allowed submitting any ideas until 8 June 2016. After that, Google would choose a name that is considered most suitable.

Unfortunately, Google does not provide detailed information about how the election. Also, no mention of whether Google will reward prizes to users who selected the idea or not.

The official names of Android itself have always been associated with mild or sweet treats to eat. I.e. Cupcake (1.5), Donut (1.6), Eclair (2.0-2.1), Froyo (2.2-2.3), Gingerbread (2.3-2.3.7), Honeycomb (3.0-3.2.6), Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0-4.0.4), Jelly Bean (4.1-4.3), KitKat (4.4), Lollipop (5.0), and Marshmallows (6.0).

The name and version number of the new Android system would normally be kept secret until the final already. Then, Google will announce it with a statue in the courtyard of Building new Android 44 in Google campus, which became the headquarters of the Android team.

As described by Dave Burke, in total there will be 250 new features in Android N, including features for virtual reality, split screen saver features multitasking, battery, and emoji.

"Asking for a version of itself is already available for developers and Android this much N 600% faster if we compare using CPU benchmarks," he said.
